DRIVING FROM THE AMERICAN MAINLAND.
You want to leave the New Jersey turnpike at exit 13, which takes you to the Goethals Bridge.
Cross it onto Staten Island, then take the Staten Island Expressway east toward the Verrazano Bridge. Leave the expressway at the exit marked Clove Road, Richmond Road, or Hylan Boulevard. Go to the light; then swing left over the Expressway. Continue, northward, until the seventh light, and turn right onto Bard. The second light on Bard is at the intersection with Castleton Avenue; turn left, and you’ll find the church (black stone, elm trees) loom up on your right. Drive right into Davis Avenue, where you’ll behold a driveway running into the churchyard . . . .
