Dear Parish Family:

 

As Christian people we believe that everything we have is ultimately a gift from God.  We are writing this stewardship letter to encourage you to return a portion of what God has given to you because you delight in God’s very existence and are thankful for the blessings in your life. We are inviting you to join us in making a generous pledge of support to our beloved Saint Mary’s Church. We are asking you to give St. Mary’s a portion of your time, a portion of your talent and a portion of your treasure.

 

St. Mary’s needs a portion of your time. God has given us 168 hours each week; why not return a few hours?  Come to church, and bring a friend with you. Stay for coffee hour. Volunteer to provide pastry or refreshments. Get to know your fellow parishioners and learn what blessings you share.  It could make a big difference in your life and theirs.

 

St. Mary’s needs a portion of your talent. God has given each one of us a variety of unique talents and abilities; why not share those gifts with us?  Can you sing? Can you sew? Can you read a lesson? Can you serve at mass? Can you teach Sunday School? Can you help a youngster who needs tutoring?   Can you help move tables and chairs? You have been given unique talents and abilities that only you can share.

 

St. Mary’s needs a portion of your treasure. God has blessed St. Mary’s with kind and generous friends and benefactors; are you among them? The gifts and bequests made to St. Mary’s have been wisely invested, but in the current economy, interest and dividend returns on these investments amount to only a fraction of what they once were. The simple truth is that our ability to maintain St. Mary’s as an active, vibrant and loving parish is directly dependent on the generosity of caring friends and parishioners like you. 

 

In thanksgiving for all that God has given to you, please help St. Mary’s to the best of your ability. Please copy, complete and return the following pledge card to the Church office as soon as possible. Thank you and God bless you.
