The great summary of Christian belief is the Nicene Creed; thinking should begin there.

The Fathers are the early authority for Christian doctrine . You can read them, and indeed almost everything of importance, in the nicely-named Christian Classics Ethereal Library. For formal guides to doctrine and practice, try the Catholic Catechism, the exhaustive and conservative Catholic Encyclopedia, or the Concise Dictionary of Religion. Oxford University has a good general guide to Internet theology.

Rome is the centre of Christianity, and the Vatican runs an exquisite site with uncountable rooms; you just have to get used to its faux-parchment.

You can venerate your
patron saint or today's saint online; and because you can, you should.

The most readable modern Christian writer is
G.K. Chesterton; plunge into his book Orthodoxy. Or marvel at the excellent light-hearted site Ship of Fools.
